Matt Huber, Executive Vice President, oversees day-to-day operations at Belfort Furniture. This FT Top 100 furniture store serves the Washington, D.C. metropolitan market with four showroom buildings on a single 15-acre campus is located just 25 miles west of Washington, D.C. Belfort offers a wide selection with over 100,000-sq.-ft. of showrooms including name brand furniture as well as exclusive, factory-direct product and locally-sourced options.
Huber is responsible for moving Belfort Furniture forward with technological advances such as integrating ecommerce into the company’s revenue stream and online design help services. Overseeing the merchandising, advertising, design services and e-commerce departments, he focuses on identifying new trends in merchandising to attract a diverse consumer demographic to the showroom. Currently, Huber is supervising a major store expansion which will create a total of 160,000-sq.-ft. of retail space. Exciting new features include a wine bar dedicated to locally produced wines from Belfort’s sister company, Stone Tower Winery.
Huber is involved with the Belfort Furniture corporate designated charities such as the annual YMCA Loudoun County charity golf tournament that has helped to raise over $600,000 to provide quality after-school care and summer camp opportunities for children. Belfort partners with the Virginia Department of Forestry to plant a tree for every delivery – with over 300,000 trees planted since the inception of the program. Huber is devoted to sustainable business practices and serves on the board of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. He is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Economics and International Relations: Global Environment.
