ASHLEY FURNITURE INDUSTRIES
As Chief Revenue Officer for Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., Kerry Lebensburger oversees the product development for all retail and rental channels of business in the United States and Canada. This includes the sales and marketing for Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. In 2017, Kerry was recognized for his achievements by IHFRA (International Home Furnishings Representatives Association) with the Pillar of the Industry Award.
Lebensburger joined Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. in 1993, as a Vice President of Case Goods and in 1995 helped develop the company’s venture into the stationary upholstery business. In 1997, he was named President of this new division, a position he held until 2005, when he became President of Sales for all three of the company’s divisions.
Prior to joining Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., Lebensburger was head of sales and product development for Stratford/Futorian. He started there in 1983 as a salesperson in northern Florida and Southern Georgia, and then became a regional VP and a divisional VP, before being named head of sales. He is best known as the father of motion furniture, after he developed the industry’s first successful motion group, Grand Opening.
Before joining Stratford/Futorian, Lebensburger was in the retail furniture business in Dayton, Lima and Miamisburg, Ohio, and headed up the Scoot-Rand Company that developed and owned shopping centers, office buildings and hotels in southern Ohio.
Lebensburger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Commerce and Finance in 1968. In 1969, he completed his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He was also a member of the faculty at the University of Cincinnati in their School of Business Administration.
