John Bancroft is a senior consultant at FitForCommerce with over 20 years of experience in digital commerce, marketing and operational management. With a focus on global ecommerce, Bancroft leverages his extensive expertise across a broad variety of brands, industries and regions, particularly APAC, to help clients with international expansion, go-to-market strategies, operational plans and more.

Prior to FitForCommerce, Bancroft was VP Ecommerce at Newell Brands, where he was responsible for B2C and B2B ecommerce across five operating companies and 12 CPG brands. In this role, he launched multiple new ecommerce sites and built and oversaw go-to-market teams with responsibility for customer experience, merchandising, operations, technology and analytics.

Bancroft was also SVP at Harry & David (acquired by 1800flowers.com) where he oversaw the entire marketing and ecommerce function and was responsible for the $220M P&L and $45M marketing budget and led the international expansion into Japan and Canada.

For Toys “R” Us Japan, Bancroft held full P&L responsibility for the ecommerce business and led the development and execution of the omnichannel strategy as well as marketing, marketplaces, merchandising, warehouse and call center responsibilities.

Throughout his career, Bancroft has helped numerous organizations including the WWE, Tommy Bahama and VF Corporation grow through the launch and management of ecommerce channels and successful global expansions. His clients include Edgewell, Gallup, and Matilda Jane Clothing.

John holds an MBA, Marketing from The Wharton School and a Bachelors of Music from Indiana University.
